I had the opportunity to facilitate a 4-hour, hands-on, SharePoint 101 workshop during SharePoint Saturday Baltimore last July 25, 2009. As I have previously mentioned, registration for the workshop was sold out in 3 minutes!

The SharePoint 101 workshop is designed for individuals who are not familiar with SharePoint. After the presentation, attendees were able to leverage the fundamental capabilities of SharePoint. Here’s the slide deck from the session.
The good news is that I’ve recorded the entire session. I will be posting the session in multiplpe blog posts. In part 1 (67 mins) , you’ll learn what information management challenges we face today, what SharePoint is and how to get started in creating a SharePoint site.
Here it is:
Hope you enjoyed the presentation. Please let me know what you think.
Watch SharePoint 101 (Part 2)
There doesn’t appear to be a slide deck. The page that I see (IE 6, this is a work computer) has “Here it is:”, but then no link to a slide deck file.
Hi, Greg – The link to the slide deck is in the last sentence of the second paragraph. Click the words “slide deck”.
Dux, thanks – I see it now. :^)
I see the ‘slide deck’ link whick takes me to:
http://www.slideshare.net/meetdux/sharepoint-101
which is a 56 point transcipt. Is that what is meant by a ‘slide deck’ or am I missing something? I expected a presentation of the sides?
Do you have any KPI Dashboard examples which you can provide? For example Project milestone, Project list??
Hey, I just wrote on part 2 i couldn’t see it but it seems that this one works great. Can you please try to fix the second part? I really want to watch your presentation on Sharepoint. I’m not really sure how it works so any help would be great.
Dux is brilliant and interesting. I was hoping for some quick help setting up sharepoint for our storage team documentation. I listened for an hour before content I was interested in came up. Very typical of these presentations I have observed from many different companies.
