How’s it going? Hope y’all had a great weekend. I had a great time speaking at SharePoint Saturday East Bay in San Ramon, CA on Septermber 11.

A key theme that resonated during my presentation and interactions with attendees from the event and past events is the challenge of not getting buy-in and long term commitment from decision makers when implementing SharePoint and related technologies.

A key factor I found is often decision makers’ limited understanding of the platform benefits versus the obstacles for successful implementation. It is imperative that executives have the full scope of how these technologies can be fully maximized for their organizations and be aware of technical and organizational change issues.

To address this, I’m excited to let you know that on Oct 8, Innovative-e is hosting “Executive Insights: How Three D.C. Organizations Achieved Work Management Success” – an invitation-only, breakfast roundtable for executives/decision makers at the Ritz-Carlton in Mclean, VA.

By attending this event, decision makers will gain deeper insights into how SharePoint and Microsoft Project can help your organization deliver successful work management solutions, including team collaboration, business process automation, project management and executive reporting. We will hear from three Washinton, DC-based organizations on how they achieved work management success, namely:

DoD/VA: BPR and Improved Healthcare Outcomes
VGT: Delivering QA Process Improvement and Savings
SI: Healing a Case of Ineffective Process, Document & Project Management

In addition, Arpan Shah, Director of Microsoft® Project and former Director of the SharePoint Technical Product Management team, will kick off the meeting. Industry thought leader and educator specializing in SharePoint, Bill English will present “Top 10 Best Practices to Achive SharePoint Success

If you’re or you know of a decision maker that will benefit from attending this event, make sure you request an invitation now – seats are limited to 100 decision makers. There is a $149 fee to attend the event.

Let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting you there!
